UFO in the sky...
If you have been watching the news, you might be aware that we have had 24 days straight of *rain*... Not just typical Seattle grey days and drizzle, but all out RAIN. Inches and inches. For several weeks straight. Landslides and rockslides. Flooding. (not here, gratefully). Snoqualmie Falls is spectacular currently.
Today, we got some 'sun breaks' intermittently around the downpours. It was a welcome, and unusual feeling sight.
Taught my second class of the week today (one more tomorrow). It went well - I felt pleased. (I wasn't so sure last night - my night class students come after work and are tired, I think. They are very quiet and unenthusiastic). Have spent the last two days doing class prep. With this many students (going on 20 between all three) - I have lots of copies to make and materials to assemble for each. Not nearly enough painting happening. The first book *is* drawn, color comps are done, palette is finalized and the initial wash on each laid... But there is much painting ahead, and not so much time to do it in...

Courage! The painting always gets done...somehow. :)
Hope you find time to do the painting as well. I know the feeling.
When the rain starts to get to me I turn on lots of lights in the room, find a comfortable spot near the front window and then notice how warm and inviting the indoors feel especially if there is a cup of coffee and a good book in each hand.
Hey! A good book in *each* hand sounds ideal! Wish I had time to read *one*... Maybe that will be my reward when I finish these two books - read novels for a week straight...
And yes! I'm assuming the painting *will* get done... Somehow...??? :-)
