A Quick Couple of Things...
Picked my first blueberry yesterday! It's all of a sudden gotten very warm - and things continue to ripen. Raspberries, strawberries, greens and herbs bolting. It is beautiful out - butterflies and dragonflies and birds and bees all winging their way about the back yard with a lovely breeze to keep it from being totally uncomfortable. Unfortunately, other than an occasional visit to my deck to look out, I'm chained to my desk...
I continue to work in the studio. Pretty much finished up painting today - but still have a lot of 'finish' work to do with colored pencil tomorrow, unfortunately - but it has to be at the copy shop for scanning and posting first thing Monday morning. Continue with the good thoughts my direction! :-) It's difficult to post much *art* on this art blog when most of what I'm working on cannot be shown until publication - which is MONTHS later...
And on a completely different note - there is a bug in my phone!! Literally!
I picked it up and pressed 'talk' earlier today and saw this big dark blotch in the LCD panel. I thought maybe it'd been dropped one too many times, but then! it started moving about and wiggling antennae!! Ick! How the heck did it even get in there? There are no openings big enough for a bug that size to crawl in that I can see... Don't know if I can use that phone again!
Now, must complete a bit of computer work, and then back to the studio...

LOVE your blog, garden looks lovely and fab idea with the dog, can I browrrow your sister-in-law for my garden. My painting a day is taking up two hours every day, sometimes I get up early and I have stopped wasting time with the TV, think I will blog this, also will link to you if thats ok as I like it here, bye for now xx
Oh my God! Maybe it hatched in there?
The weather is just to die for, isn't it? Getting up in the morning is the best, birds twittering, already 20 degrees out (you can convert it... :). I'm taking my dog out for a nice little trot after this. And thank you for that all-important sign of summer. I *love* blueberry season. Have you been working outside or have you been cooped up indoors?
we are growing bluberries for the first time this year. You'd better be careful of your phone, it could be an alien!!
Hi Tara! That phone is FREAKY! Maybe if you use it on speakerphone! ;)
MMMMMmmm...blueberries! I can't believe it already. I'm in Fresno and everything is growing like super crazy here. I'm hoping to scoop up some local peaches before we leave.
eeeek, a bug in your phone! bleugh!
SEnding best wishes and good thoughts for you to get through all your work superquick so that you can spend some time in the sun.

Eeeeeeeeew! Yuck!
How indeed did it get in there!
There is definitely something creepy about that phone...the moment you have to put it to your ear...yueech.
Thanks for the good wishes!
I am getting outside a bare minimum - but enough to keep me from being completely resentful of the studio.
And - I concur with the alien theory! Wasn't there an X-Files episode on this very thing???!!
