Musical notes...
My son had a very interesting (and surprisingly difficult) school assignment that I've continued to think about. He was supposed to choose three songs that described *him*. That proved harder than we had initially thought, and I've since tried to come up with three songs that somehow describe me. None are comprehensively descriptive (and I ended up with four to cover more aspects - it tended heavily in the garden arena - hence the picture, but I couldn't come up with any really good artsy songs - only angsty ones... Anyone else think of one?) and are completely subject to change. Here's my current list, I dare you to come up with your own:
"Neverlands", Dan Fogelberg
"The Garden Song", Peter, Paul and Mary
"The Old Ways", Loreena McKennitt
"Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing", Robert Robinson
If that proves too difficult or brain taxing, here is a much simpler meme snagged from my sister's blog:
Here's the tag: list seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether or not they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your LiveJournal/blog along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.
1. "Get Me Through December", Natalie MacMaster
2. "Tell Me Now (What You See)", sung by Moya Brennan - King Arthur soundtrack
3. "Courtyard Lullabye", Loreena McKennitt
4. "Wild Mountain Thyme", sung by Full Moon Ensemble
5. "Winter", Tory Amos
6. "Kisses Sweeter than Wine", Peter, Paul and Mary
7. "Evacuating London", from The Chronicles of Narnia Soundtrack
I'm not tagging anyone specifically, but let me know if you do either of these. Enlightening. :-)
