Aftermath - and the slow return to normalcy...

Thanks so much for all the good thoughts and well-wishes from 'out there'. I sure appreciate it!

A little taste of our front lawn post-storm... And we had it fairly easy. Cinderelly, who lives not far from me, has posted pictures of some of the downed lines and trees that abound. We finally got power and internet back in full swing by this afternoon (hooray for being warm again! And the lightswitches work! And I can log onto my own computer!) although some of my friends are still in the cold and dark. This was a doozy.

Traffic is a mess out there. The lines at the post office are even longer than normal for this time of year since they've been closed for a few days. The sides of the roads are still piled with tree carcasses and there are still power lines littering the streets in places. Big, big kudos to the many power company teams that are working non-stop, 24/7 to get as many of us back on line as soon as possible.

Finally made some progress in the studio today. Am trying to rebuild the momentum it takes to carry through this many drawings in such a short period of time. Here's hoping for no more excitement for awhile!

I am glad you are safe! What a terrific storm, such havoc it raised!

Hope the weather calms down now and you can look forward to enjoying Christmas, at least you have your electric back.
