Arrivederci and goodbye for two weeks!

At long last! The last painting is painted. Just a couple more to scan and package and the fourth Fairy Chronicles book is done and shipped. Tomorrow morning my mother and I leave for my Italy-adventure. After weeks of sleep deprivation, I hope to make a start at catching up and having some real R&R - with having no phone, no computer, no deadlines... It's hard to even imagine! There will a bit of scheduled activity (a day at the Bolognia Children's Book Faire, a night spent at a monastery in Sienna, and a couple of nights in Rome before returning home) - but mostly sketching and sunning on the hillsides in Le Marche with my artist-sister, her husband and my fairy-nieces.

In the meantime, I owe a great big thankyou to the lovely Lucille for thinking of me in my toils and sending fairy-helpers of her own darling desigin my way. (To see more of her creations and aquire her own, check out her shop on Etsy!)

On my return, I hope to be able to resume a more 'normal' lifestyle, which includes some gardening time, occasional breaks for things like blogging and blog *reading* (I miss you all!), and being able to see my family and still sleep on occasion. I promise to keep you all posted. :-)

Until I return... (Blows flamboyant kisses). Wish me luck!
