Big Cities - Bologna

My reason for going to Bologna was to attend the Children's Book Fair. We attended the last day - just before the publishers started tearing down their booths. We made a quick run through of the booths - saw cool stuff, bought a few books (since people were now happy to unload merchandise) -

And saw lots of interesting art. None from North America that I recall - but from all over Europe and Asia... Lots of pretty edgy stuff...

Walls of samples....

..."and she moved through the faire...."

And got to spend some time with my publishers in their booth - featuring huge posters of the fairy book covers...

It was a huge event, and interesting to experience in person.

That's a very nice display. It must've felt great to have that completed and to be there to see it.

Also, there's the added value now of the business tax deduction on this trip.
