Life Drawing -
Interesting phenomena - this week was heavy-duty drawing in the studio (finalizing the interior drawings for the latest book). Last time, I had been painting. My 'observer' is fatigued and was much more difficult to engage in anything more intensive than gesture drawing today.. Note to self, figure drawing will be more effective if I haven't been drawing for many many hours, for days straight before attending...

Great sketches!
It's been so long since I did any life drawing that I can hardly remember what it's like!
I have a favourite figurative artist who used to write a blog and post all her life drawing (http://annejarvis.blogspot.com/) and it's amazing stuff. So much expression! Her paintings are even better: http://www.annejarvis.com/2006.html
As an illustrator you really do need to be versatile, don't you? You certainly have that covered, Tara.
Nice sketches. How nice you continue to work at keeping your skills sharp. I admire that!
Maybe, maybe not...you may have seen more than you thought. Sometimes when we are tanked out we make our most progress, the work might not be as 'pretty' but there is something going on in the back of our brains that we are too tired to notice at the time.
great stuff! I'm crap at any kind of drawing, but I can be absolutely mesmerized by life drawing... utterly absorbed in it.
i did not know they had any art classes at country village! i will have to go peek at them, and see what they are offering!
Great placement of the drawing board in the top photo... LOL.
I havent' been to a life drawing class in ages.
