Field trip - Part 1

We are back from a very lovely weekend of art & artists and charming locales & local scenery.

It was a typical Pacific Northwest morning - all grey and drizzly.

A number of my critique group met at the docks to ferry our way over to the Olympic peninsula -

- where we continued to make our foggy way north -

-over the Hood Canal Bridge -

-and past the fields of sheep and cattle (and even some buffalo!) and tiny towns that dot the way to the northern most point of the peninsula that is Port Townsend... but more on that tomorrow.

My daughter says that has been one of the hardest things for her to get use to, all the gray. It does look pretty though.

The grey is the most perfect backdrop for a spring tree covered with blossoms. The whole tree seems to glow from within.

Tara, you take the most evocative pictures.
