Had a lovely time with the folks. We did ever so many enjoyable things -

Had a couple of family dinners,

-went to a musical (very cute) -

-watched my brother-Professor teach an entertaining history class-

(left my sketchbook in my other bag - had to take visual 'notes' on lined paper :-)

-worked on projects with my so-craftsy mother -

(for instance, photo-pendants of the kids shown here.)

Met up briefly with the amazing
Kim, whom I met at the
IMC last summer -

Had fabulous Thai food with my mother, and my 'other-mother' from my younger days -
-And celebrated my father's 70th birthday. Not a bad list for a few days' visit...

I sure enjoyed being there this past winter. It was a time I will always treasure.
I know it was brief, but I'm glad we were able to see one another, Tara. Your mother seems like an amazing woman and now that I see her home, I can see where you get a lot of your creativity. You certainly packed in a full itinerary. See you in a few months.
precious memories!
Happy birthday pa!
I was about to say, "Wow, your dad is 70?" but then I realized if my dad were still around he'd be 67. So, um, yeah! Your dad is 70! Go dad!
