Figure Friday - (plus, *Fowl*!)

Long pose day, so only a few, brief warm-up gestures..

Long pose, toned paper - about 2 hours...

It stopped raining long enough to take a brief meander outside, and remember what a lovely place I have to go drawing every week... This time of year, we have an enormous paddling of ducks that hangs out around our buildings ( a small sampling of which you can see here...)

Lots of ducks - mallards, wood ducks, domestic white ducks, as well as Canadian geese and a number of crows....

...all being herded around a bit by the various local, lovely roosters...

...and to celebrate, I ate a curried chicken pasty from the British tea shop next door. An all bird day!

All that and Harry Potter goodness too -- sounds like you had a great day!

*Shudders* that shop should be sued under the Trade Description Act ...curried pasties indeed! I have never heard of such a thing - when you finally come over, I will buy you a proper pasty, with not a hint of chicken or curry in sight. Next you'll be telling me they sell chocolate scones too...

(It's not that I don't like chicken curry; it just doesn't belong in a real Cornish pasty)

Sooz - it was a particularly nice day, yes.

PG - heh, the tea shop owner is from England and claims her wares are 'authentic' (I usually get the beef/veggie pasty but felt like bird today. It was ok. Beef is better). And no, no chocolate scones, although she does have a fairly luscious lemon one....
