Busy day of last minute things - gift wrapping, some Christmas cards, game playing, and of course, cooking. Lots and lots of cooking.
We let the kids help choose the contents of our holiday meals this year -
The son wanted seafood (in this case squid!)

I must say, I was a little put off by the eyeballs, but by the time they were cleaned, separated, skewered and grilled, I must say - not bad! (The tentacles were definitely the best part).
The only real casualty of the meal was the garlic bread (only a little incinerated - due to being 'warmed' by broiler rather than bake... Don't ask).
It was a fabulous and delicious dinner, and lovely evening over all. :-)
