In his nightly ritual, my cat stretches across my chest and starts kneading his paws, complete with razor-tipped claws - all to show his affections.

Roxy-cat doesn't usually knead me, but she does rub her face against my hand until she decides I smell tasty and starts giving me love bites. Um, ow?
