Sunday Sketching - more with the left hand...

.
Still working with the left hand. Today, I tried smaller heads overall...

One of the things I've noticed is that it's not so much that my left fingers don't work as facilely as my right, but my *wrist* certainly does not! It has never learned how to make small, controlled arcs and twists that I apparently use all the time when drawing.... Interesting discovery..

Figure Friday - also Left Handed

I must say that three hours of drawing with your non-dominant hand is *exhausting*!
I've never tried gestures with my left hand before. Combine that with a stubby piece of charcoal, and you have uber-clumsy feeling fingers.

Slightly longer poses - still with the stubby vine charcoal...

For the 10-20 minute ones I switched to a charcoal pencil. Made finer detail in the realm of possibility, if not particularly impressive....

Again, interesting experience overall. My right brain is really getting a workout this month.

Sunday Sketching - Left Handed

The right wrist is slowly recovering - thumb still grouchy. Still hard to grip or hold a pencil. So, sketching today was in the larger sketchbook and with the left hand -

-am crossing fingers that maybe I can hold a *right* handed pencil maybe later this week....?
