The cabin's surroundings are more than lovely...
Man-made Bumping Lake is spectacular whether it's overcast, hazy or...
...astonishingly clear and placid.
There's wildlife all around. We saw croaking ravens, mischievious stellar jays and 'camp robbers', heard elk bellowing in the night -
- and my favorite teensiest toads that linger by the lakeside before their voyage up the mountain to hibernate for the winter.
And then there are the magical surrounding forest.
With clearings -
- and streams -
-and the occasionaly dilapidated faery house...
Natural occurring sculptural forms....
It is a place easy to fall in love with....
