Cat entry...

My sister and her husband are both amazing artists. She is primarily an illustrator while he is also a designer and teaches at the local university. They have amazingly artistic sensibilities which infuse their lives (which leaves me in a mixture of awe and jealousy). At any rate, their first joint picture book (a la Leo and Diane Dillon) came out this fall:



It is darling, clever, and humorous. (You can read more about it on Amazon).

My sister and mother made some stuffed Rufus's for Christmas, which were also darling. I think they should go into massed production. :-)




On another cat-note - our Mia came in today from her daily outside-adventures limping, yowling and hissing... She's currently laying on my bed, with her rear paw looking swollen - but she yowls any time we even enter the room, much less try to look at it. There does not appear to be any blood or protruding bones, so I suppose we can let her sleep the night and hope she has calmed down enough to let us look at it...
