Gardens of delight...
It has been gorgeous and SO springlike - so of course I have yet again been seduced outside. I'm trying to make the most of the time I have with both sunshine and my 16 year old son (who is also my sunshine. Such a good kid!) around. I don't know what I'll do when he moves out in a couple of years and I no longer have a young and muscular boy around to help me with the heavy digging and lifting... Anyway - I'm making the most of it now! We've dug holes to plant fruiting shrubs and vines, moved unfortunately placed rhodys that block our view when backing out of the driveway, and fruit trees that need to be moved before they get any larger. I'm re-designing the beds in a number of places. Today we moved two medium sized raised beds, leveled part of the lawn with the extra dirt, edged a couple of beds and laid stepping stones outside the back door. Also (quite belatedly - I usually do this a month previously) planted peas. I hope to get more veggies put in by the end of the week. Okay. Done with the gardening regaling. But it's so amazingly gratifying. (Granted, I can hardly *move* now!...)

Sounds like you have been extremly busy your garden lucky you have someone to help with the digging. Dylan would help me as his a very good digger but is more likly to dig up what I hvae planted! Love the bug pic's
It's been gorgeous here, too (same climatic zone) and we've been power washing. It was needed after 7 years and the incredible moss buildup in this climate! Gardening comes next. I've started using my 13 year old son in the same way. When he hit 6' I realised that I was underutilising him and now that I know I have a good 5+ years of slave labour I plan to take advantage of it! :)
Sounds wonderful at your place : )
Wish I had heavy-duty help like you. We are still in a 'rain-spell', funny how it shifts around the coastline... Thanks for your comments on my blog Tara, I really appreciate it! I have days when I wonder, will I reach the bottom of my well of things to share, but then I find something new just in time. It's really amazing how much wonderful and inspirational 'eye-candy' there is out there. I am just so grateful that others enjoy it much as i do! Thanks again.
Thanks girls. Andrea - how lucky to have 5 more years!
Ulla - thanks for *your* blog! It's amazing.
