A friend had posted pictures on her blog awhile back of some Secret-Mail-Fairy packages that she had received. I loved the idea and sent out a few of my own (not so much 'secret' and just 'surprise'. Maybe I need a better moniker). To my delight I received a lovely, battered, little package from across the ocean in the mail yesterday. My daughter was very excited about the prospect of overseas booty and helped tear into the box:
After opening, we spent some wonderful, giggly moments opening little wrapped parcel after parcel full of diverse objects of delight. From a tiny, beautifully decorated cup and saucer (full of tinier, chocolate eggs), handmade soap, the cutest chicken-on-a-skewer-ever, herbs, tea, small pieces of art - all things that I love.
I am tickled by the thoughtfulness and generousity. (Plus I love all the things in it!) I think more Secret-Mail-Fairies should be put into action! Here is a "Call for Entry" for anyone interested in joining the official Society!
