I've got my space heater cranked up in the studio as I sit and paint. And paint. And paint. I don't seem to be able to quite meet my goal of 3 finished pieces per day (can you imagine?). At best, I manage 2 1/2... We'll see which wins out - the need to meet deadlines, or the need to sleep...

Calm between storms...
For a few moments, there was this amazing pre-sunset vista last night. Dark cerulean sky with liquid fire clouds racing across it. We'd had yet another afternoon of windstorms (the power flickered, but luckily did not go out this time). The winds blew all the rainclouds northwest of us and left about a 10 minute window of late afternoon sun. Of course the clouds rushed right back and now it is snowing wetly out there.

oh my, tara! i cannot imagine getting three paintings a day done! you are definately a superwoman! what a beautiful photo of a rare peaceful moment in our neck of the woods these days, to be sure. we are getting a lot more snow again at the moment...stay warm and cozy!
Thank you so much for your encouraging words on my blog. I am sorry for your couzin. She sounded like a very special, wonderful person. We need more people like her.
I appreciated you thoughts so much and hope you are doing well. I have been thinking of Washington so much lately and really miss it.
Take care
Debbie
Painting organizing SOSF and taking photos of ~liquid~ sky you are a busy fairy!Stay warm! :)NG
Bless your heart and don't forget to stretch your "money hand" (as my husband likes to call my right hand!), Tara! I cannot imagine doing 3 finished paintings a day-- you are on a roll! It's nice to be able to keep in touch with your doings on your blog. I am working on my website and am putting a blog of sorts up, no "comment" capabilites, but some place to post words and pictures. We finally got some snow here on Capitol Hill. but I doubt it'll last through the day. Thankful I can walk to work.
Painting, painting painting, keep those paintings rolling rawhide:)))
I've done what you are doing, but just for a shorter time... rough!!!!!!
If you crack and start screaming and breaking dishes, just remember it's ok...that is the normal response to artistic stress! hehehe
hey, you need to meet the deadline! LOL!
Looks like you are working under auscpicious circumstances, the pictures virtually falling like puzzles into place, 2 1/2 a day looks very productive to me. Beside the enormous physical effort, your creative juices must be flowing like hot lava!
I wish you enough sleep to be able to keep up with your pace,
Merisi
P.S.;
Yes, those wrapped rose bushes do look like people at first sight, but then, looking at them one by one, they also speak of a lot of care and forethought of whoever takes care of them. They might inspire someone to tell a tale about them ... who knows? ;-)
beautiful photo ! what a sight ! sometimes this is so hard to capture with your camera but here I can almost feel it.
and brrrr...it is chilly ! laughing
THREE A DAY ? are you INsane ?
Love, S.
