White out...

After the windstorm the temperatures dropped. Hail. Thunder. Ice forming on all surfaces - and then snow fall. Snow stuck to every possible surface, adhering to the ice, I suppose. The temperatures remain below freezing, so the roads remain iced over. School canceled for the rest of the week. (My house full of teenagers - 10 at last count).

It's snowing again today, and may off and on for the rest of the week. Where do I live? I thought it was Seattle - the land of mild, temperate, *rainy* winters! This is reminiscent of winter back east. I'll have to wait for spring to see the fall-out of all the cold temperatures on the garden...

Still painting.

I have had several people ask for our weather but I don't recall you being one of them. However it looks like you won the prize.

Yay! I must get all those easterners and northerners over here to read this and prove there's a category of northwesterner at least as wimpy as we are! Schools closed beacuse of icy roads! It was chaos here, I had to abandon my car at one point, but the schools remained open. We must be made of very stern stuff indeed. :)

Beautiful photos. I went downtown today and there was no snow there. Must be because they pay higher taxes.

So, this is where winter is reigning right now while we are fretting where to get some spring clothes because Sir Winter is AWOL? ;-)
Hope you won't have to suffer through any more of the storm side-effects and stay warm.
Sunny greetings,
M.

Thanks for the pretty pix, Tara. It's true, we in Seattle pay taxes for our incredible Star Wars Defense System like snow deflection system-- the secret is out!;)
We have managed to keep some pretty iced over side streets on Capitol Hill that show no signs of ever melting.
