Oh the ironies...

After yesterday's sunny and working-in-the-garden post, I woke up to this, this morning.... (At least I wasn't tempted to go work in the garden today).

It snowed on and off wetly all day, and then started up again in earnest after dark - so now all the roads are icily-dangerous. The kids are bummed - they both have far-away band fieldtrips tomorrow (Victoria, BC and Centralia, WA). If we're lucky it will warm up a bit overnight and at least de-ice the roads...?

Weird, isn't it? Snow in November and March. Will winter ever end this year? And don't worry, ferries rarely have trouble in the snow :) ... and Victoria and the Gulf/San Juan Islands rarely get the same amount of snow as we mainlanders. We have a little here, but it's not enough to cause traffic problems.

You have to laugh at the timing. Your garden shots were beautiful! (and so are the snowy ones.) Hope your kids' fields trips come through.

You will not believe it, but here in Vienna I awoke on Tuesday morning to white snowcover. At first I thought it's the moonlight, looking at the courtyard gardens, then I rushed over to the illuminated streetside and there I realized it was about five inches of snow! It was gone by nine o'clock.
I hope springweather stays with you from now on.
I had my first cup of hot ancho chili hot chocolate yesterday (thanks to you, I really needed it yesterday!). So yummy! :-))))) (see the little chocolate smear on my cheek?)

I am in SFO right now...and if only I could have second guessed the nature - I would have extended my trip to go to Tahoe....its snowing there and I missed seeing snow back at home ( near mountains...otherwise you would be shocked that plain in india also get snow...at best we get Hailstorm lol), it would have been perfect for me atleast !!

Why does it always snow when the children have a school trip to go on?! My son class were supposed to go on a school trip when it snowed with us last month.
