The best part of the fair for me is the astonishing range of farm animals!
From the tiny - ridiculous, banty chickens,
To the incredibly adorable baby pygmy goats.
To the hairy - angora goats here of all colors,
And cows of every size, shape, color and variety.
To the *enormous*! The draft horse show at the end of the day was gorgeous and impressive. They are such massive animals - yet beautiful and graceful pulling carts and wagons. The Clydesdales, with their hairy fetlocks, are always my first choice.

Oh we call those horses shire horses ?
Oh, that fuzzy cow! So sweet!
Julia - there are shire horses as well - and they have even MORE feathers on their fetlocks. They are wonderful. I didn't see any of them this year at the fair though...
ha, ha! i want a hairy chicken! and those little goats are cute too!
What an adorable cow! :-)
All of these photos remind me of our annual "pastoral & agricultural Show", here in Queensland, Australia.
