Mail Goodness - Part I (Art Books)

I got a gift certificate to Amazon and decided to use it on this gorgeous hunk of bookiliciousness:

This overview of the art of Iain McCaig is gorgeously done - large, heavy, thick, glossy paper stock...

It's filled with sketches and concept art -

Mmmmmm......

As well as instructional booklets! (how cool is that?), pen and ink, watercolor sketches and finished work.
So much amazing work. So much talent.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother....?

I've alway loved so bad that Jethro Tull cover, one of the best ever!

What a great way to spend an Amazon.com gift certificate! I bet that book smells good, too. (Sorry, if that's weird, but I LOVE the smell of a new book made with good paper.)

This book has been on my wish list for a year. I'm green with envy.

I know why you bother, silly.

That book is indeed awesome.

So, with Da Vinci already in the world and making amazing art, why did Michelangelo bother? ;) C'mon, give yourself some credit.

o.0 *adds book to wishlist*

"Sometimes I wonder why I bother....?" I feel the same way sometimes when I look at your art. but I make art still because I'm drawn to, and seeing other artist's work like his and yours makes me want to improve

Nice! Very nice book, indeed. I wouldn't mind having that one myself.
