While waiting for my living, feathered chickens, a wooly-er, felted blue hen arrived at my door.
Darling Mavis was posted all the way from England, packaged with her own bag of felted feed - which much have been enough for spring egg laying (mine are expected to begin laying until much much later in the year).
In order to help her feel at home, I've set her near a familiar picture.
Welcome Mavis!

I've seen that hen before - how lovely that she's flown to the other side if the world to live with you!

LOL! Am glad to see Mavis can still get her Rooster 'fix' - I envy you your real chickens though...have been reading about them on the other blog.
Hi Tara, Just caught your last post. OMG! Just trying to get images of 'Tara The Space Amazon' out of my mind.
That's an amazing step you've taken joining that class. I had no idea you had such hardcore sc-fi aspirations. Great once-in-a-lifetime stuff. Julie Bell And Boris Vallego, legends of Sci-Fi art.
One of the best experiences of my life was being tutored by a 'legend' in the field of watercolour. This is out of the stratosphere in comparison. Savour every moment.
Aha! I was wondering if that was where Miss Mavis was headed. Maybe we'll get her together with Eloise one of these days (under careful supervision, of course).
A gift in the mail is always a treat. I hope this felted hen will egg yours on (sorry, I couldn't resist this bad play upon words! LOL)
What a good chum indeed!
