Back once more -

I have returned, alive and well, from my book signing stint at Breyerfest. I had a great time - worked hard (including a surprise TV appearance - that was a first!), was wined and dined, met lots of terrific people and saw breathtakingly beautiful horses.

(Here I am, painting away at my table - with the omnipresent fan that made my survival possible! You can read a bit more on Breyer's blog entry of my signing stints. Look at the other Breyer entries on Alborozo (Breyerfest's Celebration Horse) though. He was too gorgeous for words.)

Must go to bed now. Will write more soon.

Wow, what fun and you are even more famous. TV appearance! Did you get any take home horses?

OK, I have to admit that I'm just a little jealous. I was one of those model horse gee... er... girls way back in the early days of the hobby. I even started a club that still exists and puts on model horse shows to this day. I was flown to Calgary in 2000 to judge at just such a show at Spruce Meadows, my first (and last) time since the mid '80s of having anything to do with model horses. (I feel so much better having confessed! :)

Just checked out the Breyer blog and wow! Great photo! You should use it on your website.

Hey, I agree, lovely happy pic of you being famous! Such a contrast being on show to your usual work work work in solitary state!

It looks like you have more fans than just the plug in variety, Miss Tara! ;)

I was just checking out Alborozo on YouTube-- wow! Did you get to see him perform? Incredible.

That reminds me of David Sedaris, who said that seeing the Lipazzaner Stallions as a child is what inspired him to get into show business!

Congratulations!

Well done you! So I shall stop moaning about the wonky air conditioning then.
