There's quite a bit of wildlife up there in the mountains. This year, there were sightings of elk, ravens (and dozens of other birds), adorable stripey ground squirrels... I also made my annual pilgrimage to the lakeside in search of the teensy-tinesy toads that are heading inland this time of year...
Green ones, grey ones,
brown ones... Love them.
Then there was our 'mascot' of the week - darling Kharma, who is a rescue from India (of all places!). She is the dog of our critique-member who owns the cabin. Good company to have! She was always happy to accompany me on my ramblings.
I also very much enjoy the natural textures surrounding us....
So much to love!
